  • How do you confirm whether the operatons console was upgraded on desktops, etc?

  • What do we need to do for the Bulk insert fix?

The update says that it will add a registry key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Data Warehouse\", but I do not see it on my management server. Does it get applied somewhere else? Once it is created what setting do you recommend? It sounds like 40 is the starting point. Should we change it if we get errors? What are the specifics of the errors that should trigger a change in the Registry value?

  • Also, the UR6 contains scripts to update the ops DB and DW DB. If we did these scripts as part of UR5, are these changed from then, or is it ok to do it just the one time with UR5?

  • FYI, the script for the Ops DB, update_rollup_mom_db.sql, is unchanged from UR5 to UR6, but the script for the DWDB is updated.

  • Hello, in my environment, we have no Rollup installed, just SCOM 2012 SP1. It is recommended to install the UR1 UR5 before installing UR6? Or can not, install direct UR6?

  • @Orlando. Because these are Rollup updates, you can just install the latest UR6 for SP1. You do not need to install the prior updates. Just be aware of the caution to NOT install updates immediately after installing a new environment. (Though this doesn't appear to be your case, just mentioning it)

  • @Bill can you define "new installation?" Like Orlando, we have the scom 2k12 sp1 infrastructure in place monitoring a few servers as part of the pilot. Are you implying that we should not apply ur6? Thx in advance!

  • thanks
