We are still waiting for a hotfix from the Windows team. Unfortunately this has delayed us being able to support Windows Server 2008 for another month.
The OpsMgr team is working with the Windows team on getting the necessary hotfixes ready for release. Links for these hotfixes will be available on the KB article that will be published end of July.
Here is a heads up on what we are tentatively planning on supporting
Note: The Windows Server 2008 ia64 operating system does not support upgrading from Windows Server 2003. Additional information can be found here - http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/8519f859-7159-4dae-ba4c-8ed791c01be01033.mspx?mfr=true

Hi Folks, RTM+90 days was May 4th, does this mean the release of this KB is imminent? :) Thanks! Any hope on getting what the KB# will be in advance?

Will there also be a MP released anytime soon for Windows Server 2008 Active Directory?
Sigh I was waiting to install MOM 2007 until the hotfixes were available so I could install on server 2008. Why another month?
Dave
Is it possible to get the hotfixes earlier? We have a customer, which realy need the mp for Windows Server 2008
Andreas
Must be nice to keep changing the dates for release! I remember a couple of years ago Microsoft said a product will not be released until a MP is available for it. That evidentlly has changed and we are now back to 90, 120 or who knows how long after RTM of the new product.
Enterprise customer, once again, are suffering!
Point being, how can anyone upgrade to newer software if there is not a monitoring mechanism for it?
When is the AD MP for 2008 coming out?
In an "Enterprise" environment it is impossible to take the risk of not monitoring, so we continue to wait, while the infrastructure suffers on old outdated software. Starting to think we should have just went to 2003 and stayed away from 2008 server completely.
Not to mention, we need to install our RMS on a 2008 Server build 64 bit, since we do not have a build for 2003 64 bit, but still are waiting for it to be certified!
Very frustrating!!!!
According to the MOM Team blog , there has been a delay in providing the necessary updates to make OpsMgr
