Chance Garrity 
General Manager - North Central District
Microsoft Corp.

Chance Garrity serves as Microsoft’s general manager of the North Central Enterprise District.  Garrity manages the Microsoft sales and support teams for the North Central states, including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota.

Beginning his tenure at Microsoft more than 16 years ago, Garrity brings a wide array of experience to his role as general manager. In his previous role as Specialist Team Unit (STU) director in Microsoft’s Midwest District, Garrity deepened his knowledge and passion for Microsoft products and solutions.  In this role, he was responsible for enterprise and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) customers as well as the Chicago Microsoft Technology Center (MTC).

Prior to his post as STU director, Garrity consistently demonstrated dedication to Microsoft customers and partners as sales director for the North Central District states. In this role, he was responsible for managing business operations, forecasting, and growing world class selling capabilities, customer partner experience (CPE) and licensing functions.    

Garrity also held the position of Account Team Unit (ATU) manager for four years, account executive for seven years and channel partner manager. He started at Microsoft in June 1995.

Garrity received his master’s of business administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and holds a bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Wyoming.   He also attended executive education classes in negotiation at Harvard.

Tim Floyd 
Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) Director - North Central District
Microsoft Corp.

Tim Floyd leads the Minneapolis Microsoft Technology Center (MTC), a state-of-the-art technology facility that provides access to innovative technologies and world-class expertise.  The goal of the MTC is to enable Microsoft’s customers and partners to envision, design, and implement solutions that exactly meet their business needs.

Floyd has been with Microsoft Corp. for more than 18 years.  He has held various positions in Microsoft, including multiple solution and technical sales leadership and consulting services roles.  Floyd started his tenure with the company as a Systems Engineer, introducing partners to Microsoft networking technology.

Before joining Microsoft, Floyd served in various roles as a network engineer and systems specialist in the Minneapolis area.

Floyd has a master’s degree in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.  He is also a certified teacher and adjunct college professor.

Mary Mathiowetz
Operations and Community Manager - North Central District
Microsoft Corp.

Mary Mathiowetz serves as Microsoft's operations and community manager for the North Central District.  Mathiowetz supports the offices and teams for the North Central states, including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. In her role she builds internal and external communities at Microsoft.  Internally – ensuring the employees have a sense of belonging and a great work environment and externally – partnering with customers and nonprofits to make a deeper impact in communities through technology.

Mathiowetz has been with Microsoft for more than 12 years.  She has worked with the enterprise, services and small and medium business groups in a number of roles.

Before joining Microsoft, she held a variety of teaching roles including one in Japan for six years.

Mathiowetz has a master’s degree in Business Administration and Special Education from St. Cloud University and an undergrad degree in Communication Theatre from St. Catherine’s University.
