HiSoftware will be out in the UK and will be available to brief partners on the Accessibility Kit for SharePoint.

On July 31st, HiSoftware issued a press release, announcing an agreement with Microsoft to develop the Accessibility Kit for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. The kit will provide templates, master pages, controls and Web parts along with technical documentation to advance the accessibility of MOSS based web sites and applications for people with disabilities, especially those who are vision impaired. All of the source code will be provided via the Microsoft Permissive License and will be available on CodePlex and/or another (more accessible) web site later this year for customers and other Microsoft partners to download, reuse, and extend.

Liked this win at Bindmans Solicitors by Concentra. You can read the full story but the following quote struck me as a great example of how Enterprise Search can help our legal customers:
Though it is early days for Bindmans, it is already seeing other sorts of efficiency and time savings, such as less downtime for staff in terms of protracted searches through filing cabinets in order to retrieve documentation for instance. “The search facilities in SharePoint are incredibly powerful, so rather than scouring around trying to find a document they can just search for it will come up straight away. Right now I don’t think there’s any way of quantifying those time savings, but the consensus is that it is saving time” according to IT Manager Kambiz Jahanshahi.
So what are our simple learning’s on why the customer purchased MOSS 07?
More please!
