Microsoft Malaysia aims to reach 500 successful Malaysian companies within three years with its recently launched Microsoft BizSpark program.

The BizSpark program gives startups access to Microsoft development tools, platform technologies, as well as other products to bring to new, innovative solutions to the market for providing the next generation of user experiences.

Microsoft Malaysia has appointed the Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMM) to be a network partner in the BizSpark program. DPMM Putrajaya joins BizSpark’s other Malaysian partners, the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (PIKOM) MSC Malaysia, and the Technopreneurs Association of Malaysia, to give startups the extra support needed to launch their ideas.

“With the advent of the knowledge economy, DPMM Putrajaya aims for a reinvention of IT development for its members. This BizSpark program offered by Microsoft provides opportunities in the form of world-class solutions and worldwide marketing platform that will give startups the extra edge needed. This in turn will provide the same level of high quality solutions and services to local industries. DPMM is targeting 100 startup companies, which will translate into an estimated 1,000 jobs and US$55 million in revenue,” said Dato’ Haji Alayuddin, Chairman, DPMM.
