I share your opinion ompletely. It seems a gargantuan task trying to change curriculum; hence I have taken my research to high school students. I am developing an instrument to provide empirical evidence that the the current curriculum is flawed. This from the students' perspectives on their current education. The question I seek to answer is: Are they really being prepared to join the complex global workforce? It is a very important question both since they are the real beneficiaries of this education and our country needs to stay competitive

Jean Francois Rischard has some great points on thsi in his book 'high Noon'. Looking forward to continuing the conversation.
