demonstrate a faculty research management tool that serves as a repository of
profiles, documents, and metadata, fully reflecting the research work of higher
education faculty.

Built on Microsoft SharePoint 2010, the faculty research
management tool:

• Disseminates information about the faculty, outlining
who they are and the work they are doing

• Enables usability of content on institution's public
website

• Provides information that enables a broad range of
management reports, directly supporting decision-making 

In addition, the faculty management tool is scalable to
accommodate future research-related information types and needs, and the user
interface resembles standard business applications, allowing data to be
collected using a familiar wizard.
