As mentioned in article - App V4.6 should be available end of Q1/2009 - but I cannot find it anywhere in connect. Isn't it yet released ? Is there any workaround for x64 testing now with 4.5 ?

Response:

App-V 4.6 was released to Beta on Monday and can be downloaded on Microsoft Connect. This is the version that will support 64-bit. There are no plans to enable 4.5 to support 64-bit, you'll need to upgrade your client to the 4.6 version

You best bet is to submit your questions to the App-V Forums on the App-V TechCenter and see if anyone else in the community has run into a similar issue or open a support case with Microsoft.

I'm trying to install App-V 4.5 CU1 on Windows 7 x64 but it always fail trying to install prerequisite Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).

CU1 is not supported on x64. X64 support comes in the next release 4.6 due out in H1CY2010
