Thanks for the comment. Yes, I can RDP to the server when on the same site. All ports and firewalls are opened. when remote, what is the proper ip address that should be put in the

The only thing I can think of, would be an external firewall, like ISA or TMG, between your 2 sites that is perhaps blocking port 3389? Can you confirm that your external firewalls are not blocking that? Can you RDP to the Server when located on the same site?

Thanks,

The client and the sever are in different cities. Both have their local LANs and their Internet connections.

Client Win7 ----> (LAN NAT IP 192.168.1.7, Internet IP 173.125.X.X).

Server Win08 --> (LAN NAT IP 192.168.1.19, Internet IP 64.163.X.X).

I have replaced the X.X.X.X in client screen with 192.168.1.19 or 64.163.X.X (X.X replaced with real#). The connection does not work.

Ports are all (client and server) opened. Users are setup on both sides. Firewalls are dropped. Have also tried including port# with the IP address, (IP address:33XX). It does not connect. On this screen (win7), I have checked and verified all other parameters.

The error message says : Remote access is disabled, remote computer is turned off, and remote computer is not on the network. But remote access is ENABLED. Remote computer is turned ON. Remote computer IS on the network).

I have read and setup the configuration based on Microsoft's instructions. Still does not work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
