Would you like to learn more about Hyper-V networking?  Do you know your Private’s from your External’s? (Cue dodgy jokes)  Do you know your vLANs from your Teams?  Well, if not, this could be the video for you.  The video, through a mix of slides and demo, aims to explain the different areas of Hyper-V networking, starting with Private, then moving on to Internal, External, and finishing with Teaming.  There’ll also be a bit of vLAN stuff thrown in too.

HyperNet

At 52 minutes, it’s my longest video yet, admittedly I could have split it up into smaller chunks but it flows fine, and if you download the WMV, you can watch it at double speed, plus, jump to the section you are most interested in.  The sections are as follows:

  1. Slides: Networking Overview @ 0m 0s
  2. Demo: Private Networking & vLANs @ 17m 38s
  3. Demo: Internal Networking & vLANs @ 27m 03s
  4. Demo: External Networking & vLANs @ 33m 25s
  5. Demo: NIC Teaming @ 45m 19s

Hopefully that makes it a little easier to digest, and you have a good understanding of the networking principles once it’s complete!

Access the video, and the download, from the Virtualboy TV site.
