Normally when I have been writing about search it has been some great news, well I had a few of email me an issue regarding the recent published patch release for Windows Desktop Search (WDS) 3.01. This was an optional patch originally however we released a new revision and WSUS is set to approve update revision automatically, and this caused some issues. Well the folks in the WSUS group put a post out on what the caused the issue and how to fix it.

I am trying to figure out if I can integrate the index on my file server created by Index Server with my WDS clients. It seems to make sense that I could, but I cannot find anything about that. Maybe the next release? (long overdue).
