Last month Microsoft Research announced a product called Response Point and I quickly noted down some of my initial thoughts and linked to more information here

Since then a number of people,  mainly channel partners,  have asked me how this fits into our Unified Communications strategy.  The simple answer to this is that currently its not part of the Microsoft Unified Communications stack and when compared to OCS 2007 it caters for a different customer segment and different usage scenarios.
