Join WWF, MSN, Windows Live and me in Earth Hour this coming Saturday at 8.30 local time regardless of where you live in the world. By switching off your lights for one hour you vote for Earth in the fight against global warming. Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007 and last year other countries picked it up with a total of 50 million people switching off their lights. This year it’s time to make it a true global event with a lot of famous landmarks and buildings getting dark, including the Merlion in Singapore, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Sydney Opera House. The goal is to have 1 billion people worldwide switching off their lights, I hope you’ll be one of them! Check out this video for inspiration.
