Hurry, hurry! The Beta for Windows 7 in now available for download for everyone until January 24th. After that the Beta program will be limited in some way but we're not yet sure how. If you have a TechNet Subscription you will always be sure to get a copy even with a limitation in number. For more information about the Beta you can visit the Springboard Windows 7 site and discuss in the Windows 7 forums. A good source for more background information is the Engineering Windows 7 blog.
