According to the Windows Server Division Blog and Windows 7 Team Blog, the RTM and general availability (GA) dates of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are as follows:

  • Windows 7 RTM:   On track for July 2009 (2nd half)
  • Windows 7 GA:     October 22, 2009
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM:   On track for July 2009 (2nd half)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 GA:     October 22, 2009
