It's a virtual reality - She computing ...virtually!

It's the new version of Virtual PC - Virtual PC 2007.  I've been using the beta for awhile now, with very happy results.  Some examples I've seen:

  • Virtual guest installations of Windows Vista work much better
  • Virtual PC itself performs better on a Vista Host
  • And (this is the big one), Virtual PC 2007 guests can take advantage of virtualization optimization support in newer CPUs.

All around, this is a great release for people like me who learn, teach, webcast, and pretty much have a virtual machine or two running at all times.
