404 Page Not Found and Similars

This page can´t be displayed - IE10

This is not exactly a 404 HTTP Status Code, this page comes from Internet Explorer 10 no from IIS so before start checking IIS look for most obvious things. Most of the time IE is interpreting the URL written on the address bar to something similar to “httpjdlskdjfosdf” so IE does not understand it.

Start with these options to troubleshoot

 

Check for bad characters on URL.

Check if you can reach your DNS or check your Host file.

Check navigating using the server IP Address instead domain names.

Check if web site has been created as an application in IIS

Check  the security zones.
