&lt;p&gt;Currently, Windows Azure Virtual Machines is being offered as a pre-release Preview. &amp;nbsp;When Windows Azure Virtual Machines is released for general availability later this year, spanning a production Active Directory between on-premise and cloud is intended to be a supported scenario.&lt;/p&gt;
