Everyone loves the new Server Manager dashboard in Windows Server 2012 for managing multiple servers remotely. However, I frequently get questions at my IT Camp events on managing not only domain-joined servers, but also servers that may be in a workgroup or isolated domain.
One of my friends and colleagues, Tommy Patterson, recently posted a great article on the steps needed to enable remote administration of these servers from a Windows 8 client running the Remote Server Administration Toolkit (RSAT).
The Windows Server 2012 "Early Experts" Challenge is a FREE online peer study group that is leveraging a set of study resources to prepare for the MCSA on Windows Server 2012 certification exams as an IT Pro community. Each study guide leverages video-based lectures, targeted study materials and hands-on practice exercises.
Below, I’ve provided a link to the study guide on Server Manager so that you can deepen your knowledge in this area …
Hope this helps!
