Oliver, I'm with you. I've already decided. I am getting the 8GB 256GB 15" machine. See blog.laptopmag.com/samsung-series-9-15-inch-first-video-hands-on-ultrabook-size-big-display for some pics and a decent video of the black 15" model I want.

Great blog...first time to the site. I think the previous gen Series 9 looked pretty slick and was contemplating one. BUT, I needed min 256 SSD and this one looks to fit the bill. I use an iPhone 4S and am happy with it, but have no interest in switching to any Mac. I am 100% sold on this new Series 9...best looking notebook, not named Apple, i have ever seen..

Thanks for the information Ryan. I am planning on getting the 15" model, I think. Maybe one of each. My wife is due for a replacement machine and I am not sure what to get her. I want the 15" but she'll likely be more comfortable with the 13.3".

I wish the reviewers would take some high res shots of the new 1600x900 screens on both.

I'll try to recreate the post:

We deployed the Samsung 9 Series laptops. The WiFi issue can be solved, at least on the ones with the Intel WiFi cards (why they put the b/g/n-only Broadcom cards in, I have no idea; I was told that, going forward, all models eventually would be equipped with the Intel cards). The power management setting for WiFi needs to be set to Maximum Performance for the battery and plugged in modes for all power profiles. This problem isn't specific to the 9 Series, actually--we found this in Toshiba laptops with the same model Intel WiFi card as well.

That said, the WiFi range isn't that great. But the stability and continuous throughput issues are resolved by changing the power management settings.

I had posted one about the 9 Series laptops and how to fix the WiFi issue. Maybe this site is similar to the Windows 8 blog? I can't post there either unless I hit refresh first... I think it's a timing issue.
