Actually, I am giving my D820 away. My step daughter is getting it and it's all ready to go with Windows 7, Security Essentials, etc. I am just waiting until I can buy her the Win7 box at the company store in a couple of weeks.

It runs Windows 7 really well. Much better that Vista which was as Jordan mentions, a sore point with me.

And get this, I am seriously considering buying another Dell laptop. I am not particularly happy with how Lenovo handled the SATA issue with the ThinkPads so I am looking more closely at other makes and models for my next round of tech.

I think Dell makes good computers, you just need to buy a model thats suited for your needs (business, play, etc)

re: Wow, this is a Dell?

My older Inspiron 1520 has Intel-VT, shouldn't this be pretty close to standard now?

re: Wow, this is a Dell?

Thanks for the good feedback Chad. It's disappointing to hear you aren't having a good experience. You would think laptops and the associated drivers would be totally figured out in this day and age.

Quick question: What are you running on the E6500? Linux, WinXP, Vista or Windows 7?

re: Wow, this is a Dell?

It does look sweet, but these are aimed at executives who are looking at a MacBook Air. My recent experience with a Dell notebook -- one year ago with an E6500 -- says there will be more problems and idiosyncrasies than they will tolerate. And I wouldn't even think about ordering before Win7 release.

How are these cooled? My Core2 Duo runs pretty hot now. External liquid cooling?

I'm not keen on the display port on Dells too. Nothing uses it, and it's bad enough I have to carry an HDMI cable when I travel, much less a dongle.

And my number one complaint with Dell is...DRIVERS. They're buggy, integration with Windows seems to be an afterthought, and you have to keep a database with the installed components every time you check dell.com to see if there are updated drivers.

My 2 cents.
