I set up a search box on the left, following David's instructions. I tried to use MSN, but MSN apparently doesn't support the 'inurl' keyword which I wanted to use in order to restrict the search results to my blog instead of including my comments on other people's blogs.
If anyone knows how to force a sub-site search on MSN, please let me know. I logged this on the MSNSearch feedback requests wiki.
Google will blacklist your blog; see my post here: http://zerotrilogy.gotdns.com/jaysonblog/archive/2005/01/18/795.aspx
It violates their "Free Search" terms (see links in my post). From what I've read, it will take some time for banned sites to be relisted in the google index (just google "google banned" for more info). I had the search box up for just a couple of days before I was banned...so, caveat emptor.
David himselp updated his post with the MSN feature : http://weblogs.asp.net/cumpsd/archive/2005/01/11/350909.aspx
The MSN code is on the page as well, by adding the name in the search (sloppy I know)
But some other info: I added an important notice to the post about Google terms and rumours about sites being removed from the index, please check it out and decide for yourself :)
And apparently you have the logo, so I guess you are allright with their rules :p
David - that doesn't work for me, as that brings up comments that I made on other people's blogs, and my name isn't actually in my blog that often, i.e. I don't sign my posts.
Someone else pinged me about the google logo so I added it yesterday.
