A Canadian who waited nearly a year to claim a C$30 million ($23 million) lottery prize because he didn't want to "do anything rash" was being described as the most patient man in the country on Friday.
Couldn't he at least have claimed it and invested it for that year? Sheesh.
Except for his divorce just becoming final....
If that's the case, then he can be sued for some portion of it by his ex-wife. It's not when you pick it up that matters, it's when you won it. It's happened to others who tried to hide their lottery winnings from their spouse and then got a divorce.
