Great tech book

I read a comment in Joel Spolsky's blog last month about Rick Chapman's book, In Search Of Stupidity: Over 20 Years of High-Tech Marketing Disasters and ended up buying it.

I have since finished it and loaned it to a coworker, who in turn loaned it to another coworker, and so on. It's a great read of some of the better known tech products over the last 20 years and the marketing/development missteps they made.

Very interesting stuff. One of the best parts about the book is how readable it is, and there are plenty of jokes throughout it to keep you smiling.

It will be interesting, ten years from now, to look back on these years and see what we consider to be the biggest marketing disasters of these days. I wonder if the same ones Rick outlines in the book will repeat themselves?
