Q:Exchange 2007 - Is it suitable for small business?A: Definitely

One of the questions that always gets levelled at me about Exchange 2007 not being really suitable for small business and that it really is an Enterprise product.

Here are the reasons why Exchange 2007 should be used in small business.

In my experience all small businesses want to grow and if they are to grow they need to compete. To compete you are going to need the tools to do that. Exchange 2007 is a tool that will help you compete and grow. All of these reasons will also be relevant to larger business but even more so to smaller ones

Small business usually have less people to do the same amount of tasks. So get these people to work smarter and not harder and you will see gains.

So back to the original question why should small businesses use Exchange 2007.

As Email is normally the first choice of communication it is imperative that the information you recieve is used wisely. Exchange 2007 indexes on the fly. Therefore searching and finding information is much easier and quicker

Exchange 2007 now has three mechanisms for clustering. LCR is a way to replicate your data if you do not have access to multiple servers. By adding another disk  and using LCR you can have a relatively easy way to preserve data.

Exchange 2007 really does allow you anywhere access, because it is important for small businesses to not to miss opportunities the ability for users to access their email from a variety of devices enabling them to keep up to date is great.

And this is all using the standard CAL - if you get the additive enterprise CAL then you get a whole host of features.
