Mobile Monday

I have spent most of the day at an internal event, finding out about Microsoft Mobile 6. I am really excited about it, unfortunately I have not yet got it on my device. Jason did some great demos.

Some of the features included

Search of email on a mobile looked awesome and will make my life much easier.

Document access via exchange on the mobile.

The ability for call history to be held under your contacts

This just really scratches the surface but it is safe to say that there is loads of features that will make my day a whole load easier when I am not in the office.

Other great applications that were demo'd included

minimixa - a great toy to mix your own tracks

Sportsdo - really clever app that allows you to monitor your activity when running, skiing and other activities. ( wish I had this when I did the marathon)

Spinvox - an application that turns your voicemails into text and sends then to your mail. This will  complement Exchange 2007 VM capabilities because if someone rings you direct on your mobile this app will still allow you to get that VM anywhere.

I am in the process of getting a trial with spinvox so will let you know how I get on
