&lt;p&gt;But no idea how to fix that?!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How can I best get these log files to you?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I know where the DISM log is but where do I find the CBS log?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P.S. I have searched around for this problem, and so far the only solution any forum comes up with is &amp;quot;Format C:&amp;quot;! &amp;nbsp;All the usual (SFC/scannow, Win Update reset, even In-Place upgrade/Refresh) are reported to not work for one reason or another... &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Error: 14098&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The component store has been corrupted.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Any ideas?&lt;/p&gt;
