Improve the efficiency and availability of IT resources and applications with the new virtualization innovations provided in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta. This service pack release delivers two new features, namely Dynamic Memory and RemoteFX, to help businesses further optimize their datacenter and desktops.
Its not that important I think waiting for service pack 2 will be worth it.
Without any logical reasoning outlined in your response I'm not sure I understand why you think SP2 will be worth it and SP1 won't. If you're going on previous SP1/SP2 experiences with older versions of Windows I'd say that's flawed logic.
So when will the final bits be released?
SKL: If you want to install 35 security updates [50MB] and dozens of non-security updates [I cherry-picked 81 updates at 145MB] plus [eventually] IE9, .net Framework 4, etc. Now by the time SP2 is out, double the amount of updates.
