WMI can be used to manage and access WMI data on remote computers. Remote connections in WMI are affected by the Windows Firewall and DCOM settings. The links you provide here aren't working for me. I've been banging my head against 0x800706ba errors for weeks now, and am still unable to connect to WMI on some subset of my machines... I need all the help I can get in this regard. Thanks for the post on this topic.
