Job Descriptions

TechNet Site Lead

Sit back and imagine this….

You manage a large global website for technical types (lots of them, like 18M unique visitors/month, and growing). It drives pretty good customer sat numbers, but isn't very engaging, and looks kind of late-90s.

But recently the VP of a major server product group has volunteered to be your executive sponsor, partners are stepping up, and you are 2 degrees of separation from thousands (literally) of Microsoftees, community hot shots, and others who are out there blogging, twittering, cutting videos, and all kinds of other cool online stuff.

Plus, your dev team is starting to pump out new features and your design team must be on something 'cause their new designs are actually kind of cool!

You have a chance to redesign the whole thing this year...

Sound interesting?

Know what you would do with all this?
Can you dream it and build it?
Do you have the courage to take risks and drive big change on a big stage?
Bored with your blog? Tired of Twitter?
Ready to manage a real web site?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, TechNet wants to talk to you.

Job responsibilities include: Working with partners, designers, and development teams to envision and plan new online experiences for IT pros on TechNet; working with the international site management team and subsidiaries to define and implement the global site experience; plan and execute site-wide launches of new features and online programs; define and execute site plans for major product and industry events such as product launches and events; drive the content planning process for top sites and centers on TechNet; direct management responsibility for TechNet site managers.
