I blogged a week or so ago about issues when running Windows Server 2003 SP1 under Virtual Server 2005.Two days after that, there was a knowledgebase article published (now why didn't that appear in my RSS feed off the support web site?). The KB article is interesting for a couple of reasons - first it confirms what I said, but this is the first KB I've seen which sent the counter over the 900000 mark :-) Watch out for that hotfix soon.
KB 900076 - You may experience decreased performance when you run Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 as a guest operating system under Virtual Server 2005.

Thank you for posting this information. I was having the sames problems. I have know subscribed to the beta program and await the ability to download the beta.
FYI - if you know telephone PSS support and ask for the hotfix, you will be able to obtain the official version of the hotfix (later build than the additions present in the beta) for a no-cost charge. The KB is slightly out of date - the product group are aware of this, but it takes a while to get the hotfix through the system and onto the public website. Hope this helps.

At this point, i'm going to uninstall the SP1 for Win2003, if it will let me.
