As Kleefy posted on his blog he and Andrew Dugdell have been talking for awhile about running a special Live Meeting presentation on the new changes to Group Policy in Windows 7. Problem? Kleefy is in Redmond and the user group is in Brisbane, Australia. Enter Live Meeting! Now this was going to originally be a special session to the Brisbane Infrastructure Group. But we thought since it’s Live Meeting why not open it up to everyone to attend? So that’s what we ended up doing. So if you don’t live in the Brisbane area and you don’t fancy getting up for a 7:30AM session then check out the registration details for the event below.
Title: Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2 Group Policy: What you need to Know Speaker: Michael Kleef – Program Manager in the Group Policy Team Abstract: This session is a special TechNet Live event for the Brisbane Infrastructure Group that will discuss the changes in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Group Policy. Michael Kleef has kindly offered to cover what's new and what you need to know to successfully move from Windows XP/2003 group policies to Windows Vista SP1 and Windows 7. Date: Friday May 8th 2009 Time: 7:30AM – 9:30AM AEST Where: Live Meeting Registration: https://www.livemeeting.com/lrs/microsoft1/Registration.aspx?pageName=jjd40w1sqkw6x6ps
So it’s an early start but I think it will be well worth it! If you really can’t get up that early then we will be recording the event and posting that for later viewing.
