I'm not quite sure when it appeared, but this evening I noticed a link on the restore dialog box in Vista "Learn how to restore from backups created on Older versions of Windows", there are 32 and 64Bit versions. I considered using a Virtual Machine on Vista to read .BKF files made under Windows XP ... no need any more.
i look for ASR on vista, did any body know how ?
i did not see ntbackup on vista...
The download I linked to lets you restore BKF files made with NT backup.
If you have a VHD made with Complete PC Backup, you can restore it either by going into repair from the Vista Setup disk, or from the recovery environment (if you've configured it).
