I know a lot of people have been waiting on this to release in Australia and now its ready! Its 5GB of online storage. You can have public and private folders and you can also embed your public folder on your website and or blogs. Set up your account today at http://skydrive.live.com
Sorry, this beta service isn't available yet in your region. To find out when it will be available in your region, please visit the SkyDrive blog.
I get this when trying to signup!
I got it working by resigning into my live account. Just clicking on the already signed in Live account resulted in the Beta sevice message!
Good to hear you got it working if you have any other issues let the Windows Live Skydrive team know, their blog is http://skydriveteam.spaces.live.com/blog/
This is great, I have found a lot of uses for it with my business already, especially sharing documents among several people in different cities!
Ridiculously overdue but I am impressed. The ability to play a little game while you wait for your upload to finish is a nice touch. You should be able to open your docs online though AND be able to share docs/files with non-Windows Live users.
We are working on the ability to open your docs online in your browser with Office Live Workspace (this has alot more cool things to it other than just opening docs). One of them is the ability to save directly from an Office app to your Office Live Workspace online. Have a read about it at: http://workspace.officelive.com/ Its currently a US Beta at the moment.
it sucks, can't map as a network drive. Another great idea cripped by Microsoft idiocracy.
It says free 5GB, and yet the terms and conditions state there will be an undefined charge and credit card details must be kept up to date.
So is this free 5GB a trial, and there will be a charge later?
If so how much?
Great ... another domain to blacklist.
We have enough trouble keeping junk off our lan without more of this .
I can't get the page to load - keep getting "Fatal Error"
If you are having issues with Skydrive let the product team know through their blog http://skydriveteam.spaces.live.com/blog/
I know what you mean about mapping as a network drive, I think this would be a really cool feature. I have raised this with the product team and they have indicated its something they are working on
Kind of amazing, really, that so many people are having trouble even creating an account to use Skydrive. There are a bunch of comments posted on their blog, and it doesn't look to have even been acknowledged.
