I placed a order with JB HI-FI Online late last week for my Transformers HD-DVD and it arrived today! Firstly kudos to JB for starting to stock HD DVD, I was starting to get worried!

Its a 2 disc HD-DVD set and in addition to the movie in full HD glory it has some pretty cool features:

  • Transformers H.U.D. (Heads Up Display) - viewers can access running text-based behind-the-scenes background information on the production during the feature as well as watch relevant picture-in-picture b-roll and video with Bay, Speilberg and other filmmakers during select sequences
  • Transformers Intelligence Mode web-enabled features - Transformation Mode, Health Meter, Weapon Mode, Robot Bio, In Scene Indicator, Text Ticker, GPS
  • Transformers Tech Inspector - an unprecedented look at the Transformers robots through the exquisitely detailed models created by ILM artists
  • Audio Commentary by Director Michael Bay
  • Our World: The Story Sparks, Human Allies, I Fight Giant Robots, Battleground
  • Their War: Rise of the Robots, Autobots Roll Out, Decepticons Strike, Inside The AllSpark
