Continuing down the path of simplicity, lets talk about some changes to managing content in your infrastructure.
I have a confusing issue with content distribution and association.

Here is the scenario:

We have a primary location (HQ) with multiple branches.

The branches are over a WAN link

We do not expect any administration at the branches, all has to be done centrally. However we want systems in each branch to pick definition updates from their local branches and not across the WAN.

Our Approach.

SCCM site server installed in HQ

Site systems (distribution points) was installed in all the branches.

boundaries were automatically created for site assignment

new boundaries were created based on branch ip address range. these branch boundaries were associated with corressponding branch boundary group. Each branch boundary was configured for content management, and the DP in the branch was made the reference point.

Endpoint protection ADR was configured to download and distribute content to the DPs in the branches.

please can you analyse this strategy

Is CM2012 being more efficient in downloading content? let me explain what I mean with an example: If you would add 4 times the same package in a task sequence and the task sequence advertisement is configured to download the content when needed a SCCM 2007 TS would download the content 4 times. This is not very efficient, I was wondering if there are any improvements in CM2012?

Thx,

Kris
