Robert Wahbe announced the new Microsoft Management and Virtualization Solutions Incentive program in his Value Keynote on Monday – but as the program is new and doesn’t go live for a couple of months information is scarce…so here’s a quick overview. The program is targeted at solutions partners that identify and sell solutions that include System Center, Microsoft Virtualization solutions and Forefront, as well as associated licensing suites (ECI, SMSD, SMSE). Partners can earn fees up to 20% of the deal size on eligible opportunities. The new program also increases the opportunity for collaboration and early engagement with Microsoft to grow your business. Follow these steps if you are interested in participating in the program.

Step 1

Contact your Microsoft Partner Account Manager (PAM) and engage in the partner planning process.

Step 2

Complete the Partner Solution Plan with your PAM with one the following seven workloads: Datacenter Management & Virtualization, Server Security, Networking, Storage, Client Management, Client Security, which qualifies your engagement and enables you to participate in Microsoft’s Partner Incentives Program for Solutions.

Step 3

Attain Gold competency status in either Management, Virtualization, Server Platform, or Identity and Security and take advantage of a wealth of benefits to grow your Management or Virtualization practice.

Step 4

Identify and qualify Microsoft sales opportunities in the Microsoft pipeline management tool (PSX):


Drive the opportunity to 100% win status and provide the correct Agreement ID.

It’s as simple as that!  PSX will be available to partners starting on August and the Management and Virtualization Solution Incentive launches in October.
