News Flash: Server and Domain Isolation Just Got Easier to Deploy - "Simple Policy" Update Now Available

I've got great news to share!  On Friday, the IPsec dev team officially released a hotfix for IPsec that makes deploying Server and Domain Isolation a heck of a lot easier to implement!

Dubbed the "Simple Policy" update, this hotfix for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 adds functionality to greatly reduce the complexity of IPsec policies and filters.  This in turn helps make Server and Domain Isolation deployments simpler to, well, deploy and even easier to maintain.

We believe this update will help you reduce the number of IPsec filters from several hundred to only two.  Yes, that's right, only 2 (awesome, eh?)!

Now, tell me if there is any reason not to deploy these great IPsec-based scenarios now?

Okay, okay...enough "marketing dude" stuff.  You can get these updates (KB914841) here:

How to simplify the creation and maintenance of Internet Protocol security filters in a Windows Server 2003-based environment

These hotfixes bring a bit of the new, innovative IPsec functionality you'll see in Windows Vista and Windows Server "Longhorn" downlevel. Just imagine how easy it will be to do Server and Domain Isolation with the next releases of Windows and the new Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.  With its new integrated UI that combines the policy management for Windows Firewall and IPsec, you get a great wizard to create Isolation policies and deploy them with Group Policy.

Cool stuff, eh? Let us know what you think!
