Som en konsekvens af at SPLA priserne har været differentieret på tværs af EU(Hvilket især har betydet lavere priser i UK, så har Microsoft besluttet at disse priser skal allignes pr 1/7-2012.

Beginning in July, Microsoft isunifying its volume licensing pricing policy in the European Union/EuropeanFree Trade Association (EU/EFTA) region so that the prices charged to partnerswill be based on the location of the partner’s channel agreement. Also, due to sustained currency divergence among the British Pound (GBP), theSwiss Franc (CHF) and the Euro, prices in the UK and Switzerland areexpected to change based on the prevailing currency exchange rate.
Microsoft believes these changes help bring long term price consistencyacross Europe, which can provide clear andequitable pricing for our customers and partners.

Our plan is to continue to offervolume licensing in local and Euro denominations, and to periodicallyassess the impact of our pricing policies and make changes if necessary tomaintain price consistency across the EU/EFTA Region.
