Earlier this month, Rackspace announced the availability of the Rackspace Cloud SDK for Microsoft.NET, a set of tools to help developers build web and mobile applications for their Windows cloud strategy.  This announcement illustrates the growing momentum we have among our hosting partner community for cloud and mobile app development with Microsoft.NET and within the Windows environment.

Our customers have told us they want a seamless and easy way to build and integrate the management of their Windows-based IT environments both on-premise and in the cloud. We are proud to have hosting partners like Rackspace who are committed to providing Microsoft customers the tools and flexibility they need to build the best on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure to meet their unique business needs and IT requirements.

We will be sharing more about what our customers expect from Microsoft and our hosting partners during the next couple of weeks, beginning with the Microsoft Hosting Summit here in Seattle May 21-23.  Keep an eye out for more details from us and our hosting partner community about what the next year has in store for Microsoft hosting partners and the customers who are considering the cloud as part of their IT strategy both here and via Twitter at #mshostingsummit.
