Don't be the last household with a broadband connection that has 2 or more PCs to take this great software for a spin.   It is simple to setup, easy to use, and provides powerful capabilities including automated PC backup, easily expandable centralized storage ("no more drive letters"), remote access to your home server for downloading and uploading files, and remote access to your PCs too with your own personalized internet domain name.

We are getting close to shipping, so sign up for the beta now before it is too late.....

  • Thank you! Thank You! I can finally test it!!

  • The WHS server team released RC1 this week to all the beta testers. This is a huge milestone for the

  • Last one? Are you calling this the last beta release?

  • How near is the actual release? And what flavours can we expect? Standalone or combined with a computer? Pricing?

  • Being one of the earlier testers, I'd say WHS should ship on schedule this fall. The flavors will be bundled (like the system from HP), and seperate through OEM/Enthusiast sales like media center 2006. I woulden't expect to see it on your local BestBuy shelves.

  • Can someone advise what will happen at the end of the Beta stage?

I downloaded the beta of Vista, only to find at the end of the trial that I had to reformat my hard drive to reinstall Windows XP which I had previously used. Unfortunately I didn't have any installation disks as they didn't come with the machine and I ended up buying another copy.

I don't want to go through this again with another Microsoft Beta and so some reassurance would be invaluable!
