もうすぐ本当のタイトルに更新されるはずです。もうすぐ。今週？！
OOBとはゴルフでいうところのOBです。つまりフェアウェイから外れたがスーパーリカバリーショット（罰則あるけど）の見せ場でもあるという逆の捉え方もできるわけです。うーん ポジティブ。 Windowsで言うと、OOB（Out-Of-Bound）とはメジャーリリースやサービスパックの提供を待たずに単独で出荷される機能やツールのことになります。今後 他の製品でもそういう言い方をしてくるかもしれません。
実は今までも IIS の世界では類似したものが提供されてきました。Log Parser 、URLScanなんかもそうでしょう。でも Windows Server 2008 と IIS7 になってもっと柔軟に可能になりました。そうです、モジュール化が進んだのです。
