何度かこのブログでも他の場でもご紹介していますが、エバンジェリストにも色々な種類があって、私はITをインフラの視点から見ている方向けの活動をしています。同じ視点で開発者の視点で同じ仕事をしているエバンジェリストの一部が私たちと同じチームで活動しています。「一部」という点では開発者向けの活動は細分化されており、また発祥としても開発者の方向けの方が早かったというのも裏の事情であったりします。

IT Pro道場という観点では今まで実施したものの中でアンケートをとらせていただいていたのですが、アプリケーション プラットフォームに関してとセキュリティに関してという二つが実は得票数が拮抗しており、いずれどちらかに着手したいと思っていました。ただ、正直どちらも非常に幅広いジャンルであり、現存リソースでは実施が難しいという判断があったのも事実です。そこへ今年からチーム内に開発系のエバンジェリストがジョインしてくれたことにより、可能性が高くなりました。開発系のエバンジェリストで且つコンサルタント経験のある松崎が手をあげてくれたことにより、実現する可能性がほぼ100%になりました。

これから道場のページや色々なところで告知が始まりますが、11月中旬スタート目途で今 全速力でコンテンツ作りをしています。是非 お楽しみにしていただければと思います。道場の手順で Visual Studio が出てくるのは今までに無い話ですからかなり多くの方に役に立つ内容になると信じてます。（＾◇＾） ただし、道場ですから考え方は盛り込みますが、それほどDeepにするつもりはありません。Deepなネタをお求めの方にはMSDNオフラインなどの別のセミナーにご参加ください。

[IT Pro Dojo] We're making Application Platform Edition Dojo

I've been speaking about the types of evangelists that we have here and in other occasions. I'm one of them that speaks alot about IT systems from the infrastructure perspective. Now we have some evangelists that think from the developer perspective in the same team this year. Some means that there are more developer evangelists but are working on a different perspective and there are several types of developer evangelists because this role was fundamental first from the developer evangelists and more divided as needed.

From the IT Pro Dojo point of view, every time we do one, we asked for a survey and what kind of Dojo you want. The result of the surveys actually show that many people want to attend application platform and security platform, each are almost equal in numbers so really wanted to manage to deliver either one.  But speaking frankly, both are very wide spreaded themes and we thought we would never be able to do Dojos that would satisfy who comes so I kind of gave up the idea before. Now we have developer evangelists so the idea came up again with  a high possibility of delivery. My collegue Tsuyoshi raised his hand for this idea and also thinking something more than Dojo for developer audience but he agreed to do a Dojo around the country with me to start with.

I believe there will be many places will show this New Dojo and we're doing full throttle to manage to start from mid November. Please wait and be excited when this comes out. There were never a Dojo that had a Visual Studio stuff in it and I know many people in Japan do both the infrasturcture stuff and developer stuff altogether so I really believe this will be fun for people from both audiences. But this will be a Dojo so please don't expect super deep stuff but rather this one will be for New Starters using Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and stuff.
