&lt;p&gt;it&amp;#39;s really easy to let Powershell do the whole work!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I already have done similar things and there is one thing that to mention.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Powershell is really a bit slow if it has to traverse a big directory structure in order to find files matching certain criteria. I sometimes prefer to use the good old filesystemobject when I have to find a lot of filesystem objects and work with them.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you don&amp;#39;t mind and have got the time, use the approach presented here, otherwise remember that there is still the FSO around ...&lt;/p&gt;
