Hey, Scripting Guy! Question How can I easily obtain the performance of local or remote computer by using Windows PowerShell?

Hey, Scripting Guy! Answer Query the Win32_WinSat class.

In Windows PowerShell 3.0, use the Get-CimInstance cmdlet:

Get-CimInstance Win32_WinSAT

In Windows PowerShell 1.0 or Windows PowerShell 2.0, use the Get-WmiObject cmdlet:

Get-WmiObject Win32_WinSAT

  • Is there any more examples you can give? All this does is return the basic WMI class info, I can't see any computer performance information from that statement.
