Dan: I haven't seen those T-Shirts, but I do have to agree. The Tablet came out quite some time ago - admittedly, it wasn't as thin and sleek, but had all the functionality and more. I do remember a Fujitsu device that was more along the lines of the iPad form factor for thinness.

You may recall T-Shirts reading "Windows 95 = Mac 1987." Maybe iPad 2010 = Windows Tablet 2005!

I agree with you, I have the HP TouchSmart tx2 as well. The iPad is way overkill. If I needed a tablet style device, I'd wait and get the HP Slate ... it's far superior to the iPad.
