Back in June (of 2011), Byron Spurlock delivered a 4 part Lync Webcast Series for me. Byron is a former Microsoft Consultant who focused on Office Communications Server (and Lync). He has also spoken at other conferences such as Exchange Connections and Tech Ed. Byron was kind enough to develop 4 sessions and the associated demos and deliver them to help those who are trying to get more familiar with Lync Server 2010. I was able to get the videos to embed into a blog post so I figured I would go ahead and do that now. You can also download the videos if you prefer.
To make it “easier” to consume and reference, I am going to post these as four separate posts. In this first one, I am listing Part 1 of 4 – Lync Server 2010 Architecture Topologies.

In this webcast, we describe the overall architecture of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and the key considerations for the scalability and performance of each server role. This webcast provides the background and framework for the other Lync Server 2010 webcasts and serves as a bridge between the overview session and the drill-downs in the different product areas.
