During Tech Ed 2010, I had a chance to interview John Campbell, Program Manager for Excel Services.  SharePoint Server 2010 has quite a few features and if you are new to the product, it can be confusing as to what component provides what capability.  One of the services that tends to be nebulous at first is the Excel Services.  This is a great service that allows SharePoint to host Excel Spreadsheets with analysis, insights and logic and make it available throughout the organization (without the need for Excel on the desktop).  John does a much better job explaining this so please take few minutes to watch this video.
