During Tech Ed 2009 in Los Angeles, I had a chance to chat with Rui Maximo who is a Technical Writer for the Unified Communications team (OCS specifically). Rui shares what he does as a technical writer and how he stays verifies technical accuracy of his documents. I would love to get the server that Rui has in his home!!! Rui also talks about Microsoft’s official support policy on Virtualizing Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and what roles are supported versus not supported.
Rui has also written quite a few books, with the most recent one being the Resource Kit for Office Communications Server 2007 R2: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/Books/13113.aspx. (I’m still waiting for my signed copy of the Reskit from Rui).
Rui is also one of the “minions” for DrRez (twitter.com/drrez). If you want to stay up to date on what’s going on in the OCS front, I would encourage you to follow DrRez on Twitter as well.
Here’s the video (high bitrate version) interview with Rui.
For a lower bitrate version, please visit Edge where you can download both the high bitrate and the lower bitrate versions.
