I just found out today that I will be heading to San Diego on Thursday, August 21st and Los Angeles on Friday, August 22nd to deliver a presentation at an Angelbeat event (www.angelbeat.com).

The Event in San Diego is at the Sheraton located at 1433 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego, CA, 92108.
The Event in Los Angeles is at the Hilton located at 555 Universal Terrace Parkway, Universal City, California, 91608.

Since I don't get out to these two cities very often (but want to do so more regularly), I thought I would try something "outside the box".

I will be arriving in San Diego at 8:45 AM and will be heading straight to the Starbucks at 1620 Camino De La Reina, San Diego, CA 92108 for my morning Triple Venti Mocha before heading to the Sheraton for my 12 PM presentation.  Starbucks - San Diego
I should be safe if I get to the Sheraton by 11:15 AM.  Unless I'm delayed, I plan on getting to the Starbucks by 9:30 or 9:45 AM and leaving at 11:00 AM.  If anyone wants to meet with me in person and just chat about how I (or Microsoft) can help the IT Pro community in San Diego, please stop on by between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.  I won't be able to buy your java, but my company is free - :-).

For Los Angeles, I will be arriving at the Burbank airport at 8:47 AM and will be heading to the Starbucks at 10965 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604 before heading to the Hilton down the road.

Starbucks - LA
Just like in San Diego, I should be able to get to the Starbucks by 9:30 or 9:45 AM.  I will head to the hotel at 11 AM so once again a good 60 - 90 minutes for a nice chat.  For the LA event, there is a chance I won't go on until 2 PM.  If that is the case, I will hang at the Starbucks until 1:15 PM.  I will post an update to the LA Event on the morning of the 22nd when I get to Starbucks as I most likely won't find out about the time change until that morning.  Also, just like in San Diego, I won't be able to buy your java, but will be able to have some good conversations.

All topics from technology to activities and anything else you can think of is fair game.  Also, since I won't know you, but you should be able to recognize my face (my picture is on my blog), please come up and introduce yourself to me.  If you have a business card, bring that along as well.

Also, I know this is right in the middle of the morning when you need to be at work so I apologize in advance if you can't make it but really wanted to.  I will try more of these informal meetings as I continue my travels in the next few months.
